Montessori Scholars Academy is recognized by Association Montessori International (AMI-USA), the best regarded accrediting organization within the Montessori community. After going through the vigorous screening process by AMI, Montessori Scholars Academy has acquired the AMI certification and has become one of the very few AMI certified schools in the entire state of Georgia.
The school is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council and School Improvement (SACS-CASI), a voluntary method of quality of assurance designed to distinguish schools that adhere to the highest educational standards. All Montessori Scholars Academy Lead Teachers are fully accredited by Association Montessori International (AMI). In order to obtain this certification, the teachers must attend and successfully complete the entire training program offered at designated training centers for their specific level (Primary, Elementary). The teachers must also complete a practicum, and work as assistants in the appropriate classrooms before becoming a lead teacher. AMI certified teachers must keep their membership in good standing with Association Montessori International. MSA instructors also maintain their skills and knowledge up to date, by taking refresher courses and attending industry-specific trade shows, conferences and seminars.
